On very rare occasions, left-wing radicals will see the light and admit the errors in their thinking and join the right. Whittaker Chambers is a great example from the 1950s. I was discussing the Kavanuagh lynching with a woman friend last weekend and she said he was guilty. I knew she was a liberal, but I thought that since she was getting her doctorate, I could reason with her (I'm so naive). I asked for proof and she said there were four witnesses that could collaborate her allegations, but they all lied because they were covering for him. So, I said bottom line, she doesn't have any proof and why should I believe her over him (he said, she said scenario) and she said Kavenaugh was a proven liar (according to her liberal media outlets noted he said he drank to excess on occasion during high school and college during the hearing and apparently it was more frequent...I don't know if any of that is true, but so what???) and thus, he can't be trusted. I asked her if she believes there exists anybody on this earth that hasn't lied and amazingly she said no. Thus, I said could it be that she is lying about these allegations when now two other women who made allegations against Kavenaugh admitted lying and likely are going to be prosecuted. She responded no way she is lying because women don't lie about these things. Totally illogical when I just proved to her women DO lie about "these things", but to mind-numbed, indoctrinated, liberal snowflakes, logic and facts don't matter. Thus, for most lefties, it is a lost cause.

Hopefully, you drowned this witch before she got away, right?

On my profile page it says I was born in January 2005. It's an understandable mistake for a fairly new member.

I changed it after being threatened by a RN member who is gone now, but posted regularly for years. I'm not going to say who. (Would that break the rule about mentioning someone who hadn't posted in the thread? No matter, it's not important now.) They turned out to be empty threats. But I didn't know that at the time.

edit to add: That poster even followed me to another conservative site (RedState) and threatened me there.

Wow.

I can vouch for Wags that he or she(I don't know Wags Gender) definitely isn't 13 and has been a long time member as well as one of the good guys.

I know the feeling...

A few years back someone threatened me on line as well.
It ended when I informed them of three key pieces of info they need to know about me.

1. I have very good night vision.
2. I am a good shot.
3. I am a very light sleeper.

But not necessarily in that order.

It ended right then and there.

About as much as I believe this to be an appropriate venue for a child. Is there a point to being misleading?

Newbie (Bambi), you need to take a deep breath and relax.

Maybe take time to learn a little about some of the posters here before you shoot yourself in the foot.

Did I insult Bambi? I don't believe I did. I just told her that I was a native Californian and probably older than she is.

No, you didn't. The fact that you seem a pretty gentle person was why I reluctantly got involved as a third man in in the first place, which I wouldn't normally do in any other situation.

Was just making a tactful comparison between your behavior and the other person's, though it was apparently so tactful that it wasn't even noticed.

Still haven't ever seen you insult anybody. You seem too mature and dignified for it. Now me, on the other hand...

Woah...! Bambi, Wags is one of the best around here. Good, intelligent, honorable, long-time poster.

I have no idea where that came from, but you've got Wags figured wrong.

Bambi just looked at the erroneous information on my profile page that I put there after I was threatened on line. It's an understandable mistake. I'm okay. Let's get back on topic. (Thanks everyone for the positive "testimonies" on my behalf, though.)

It's rude to challenge your statement? Then you're in need of reviewing accepted standards of debate.
It's also rude to be deceptive and post a manufactured DOB or do you merely assume that everyone will just look past such a deception? I would've expected a higher quality response from a moderator as well as expecting a better standard of mod on RN, much less flagrant deceptive practices. I thought we all knew what happens when we ASSUME, so assumption is an active practice here?

Ok, I'll accept Monty's word and voucher. I don't like deception and game playing. Yes, it raises my ire, but seriously what should one think? a blog mod with an age of 13? who wouldn't automatically think TROLL? I don't believe I was rude in positing a challenge. If I am as wrong as all of you think I am, then I apologize sincerely to Wags. And thank you to everyone kind enough to bring it to my attention. I found Wag's post to be naive.

Anyway, it doesn't matter what Nielsen says, the lefties and the media (Pardon the redundancy.) are going to continue to edit this in a way to create chaos by making even the 600 criminals 'victims'. The media are also creating chaos by ignoring the Mexicans living up to their agreements. I give credit where it is due and I appreciate those in Mexico, including the government in this case.

The left loves this theater because they are able to compare the US to the NAZI's or whatever. Nobody is worse than the media and they certainly aren't doing the true victims any favors by encouraging this.

Wags,

Apparently I've been mistaken and deemed you a smart ass kid based upon your profile info. I take profound umbrage with deception and I apologize for having misread you/your post.

Sincerely,

Bambi

Oh Phew! glad that's over. I thought hazing was illegal now? So hazing's a thing here, too?

I'm merely returning the courtesy shown to me when someone misread/interpreted my post. I explained myself and the honorable gentleman immediately apologized. Tone is almost impossible to read online and nearly everyone must admit that there's more than a few smartass trolls running amok on RN.

No. It's not hazing. Sometimes it's difficult to read tone but there is nothing wrong with asking for clarification if you don't understand a post. It's better than getting worked up and losing your <censored>. This wasn't hazing and Wags is not responsible for your behavior. You and I had a similar experience. My advice is to read a few posts from some of these members and find out their views before you respond and you won't make a jerk out of yourself as much.

Good luck.

The government of Mexico is (for a large part) corrupt. But there are many good people living there.
When statements are made about "Mexico" it would be good to separate those criminals in power, and the good citizens who live under that repressive regime.
I wouldn't boycott Mexico to make a statement. But I would boycott it because I don't feel safe visiting there. (And it's not safe for the powerless people living there, either.)

(I feel the same way when someone posts a comment like, "California should just drop into the ocean." There are a lot of good people living in this State. It's just most of the politicians in power are basically evil.)

If you think only a large part of the Mexican government is corrupt, you have obviously never lived there. I have and I can tell you that they are ALL corrupt-that's why they go into government service-it's the easiest path to relative riches in any Latin American country. One of my Mexican assistants had an uncle who was one of the police chiefs in the DF (same as DC here). He made money hand over fist and many of his relatives were also on the payroll. I did ask the assistant why he was working for us at an American company and he said it was his best chance to get to the USA with marketable skills. BTW-since, as Americans, we couldn't do the standard bribes, we hired a Mexican "expeditor" with a big expense account and he handled all of our dealings with the government. :2cents:
