Playing on channel 5.2 in the Atlanta area as we speak: Oh God (1977) with John Denver, Terri Garr, and George Burns.
Both philosophically and evangelically, I can't find a single quarrel.
Probably the last time I've agreed with the MSM on anything (40-ish years ago)

George Burns was pretty good and very funny. Denver.... a musician put into a movie.

One of my girlfriend's all-time favorite movies. We had it on the TV, but missed most of it anyway; We had her whole family crammed into this tiny apartment for Thanksgiving dinner, and it was bedlam, LOL. Her brother & sis-in-law, her son & daughter-in-law, the two grandkids, plus of course my GF & me. 8 people in an apartment barely big enough for 2. Nobody had much opportunity to pay attention to the TV.

I remember seeing it, but don't remember anything about it. But in the sequel I do remember only one scene. The girl asked God(Burns),
"Why did you make the giraffes' necks so long?"
God "So they could eat from the trees"
Girl "Why didn't you just make the trees shorter?"
For some reason, that was something I always remembered.
And on a side note, for all of you early 80's new wave fans like myself, I did just hear Midge Ure's song "Dear God" yesterday
