Whatís The Difference Between Ocasio-Cortezís Gaffes And Sarah Palinís? The Media

The Daily Caller
Anders Hagstrom | Justice Reporter
11:37 AM 11/22/2018

Republican Sarah Palin got lambasted in the media for her various hokey gaffes and naivety, but the media is reacting differently now that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is making those same mistakes.

Of course they're treating them differently. She Guevara is being canonized:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's campaign shoes to be showcased in historical exhibit

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez invites you to walk a mile in her shoes.

The New York congresswoman-electís first pair of campaign trail shoes are being loaned out to the Cornell Costume Collection exhibit for those who want to witness what ďhard work?looks like.

I've always thought that Palin never made any large gaffes. She made a few small ones, but it's not like she ever claimed to have been to all 57 states. During the '08 campaign, Biden and Obama each made more gaffes than Palin, but the media downplayed those and blew hers out of proportion.

1. The New York congresswoman-electís first pair of campaign trail shoes are being loaned out to the Cornell Costume Collection exhibit for those who want to witness what ďhard work?looks like.

I hope that the Cornell Costume Collection will also request combat footwear used by the U.S. military and exhibit them alongside AOCís shoes.
I would request shoes worn by the soldiers at Valley Forge (1777). Oh, wait most of them didnít have shoes and were half naked and werenít paid for several months and were starving!

Civil War boots, Boots from World War I and World War II (Bataan Death March, D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, Iwo Jima), Korea (Chosin Reservoir), Vietnam (Tet Offensive), Gulf War and The War on Terror.

This is like giving Obama a Nobel peace prize before he did anything, putting her damned shoes in a museum.

Ocasio-Cortez was not/is not running to be 2nd in line as leader of the free world.

By the amount of ink she is getting from the right, you'd think she had.

ďThe Right?arenít the ones putting her campaign shoes on display in a political exhibit (reminder: she hasnít even served one day in public office yet) or fawning over her every move.

But there is no harm in encouraging her to be all she can be in driving her party and its leadership crazy.

Personally, I think sheís fun to watch. Very entertaining.

Palin's biggest "gaffe" was not hers but the chick on SNL, who said she could see Russia from her house. In reality, she governed the only state whose Air Guard pilots are regularly interacting with and challeged by Soviet Russian pilots and aircraft.

LOLOLOLOL  LOLOLOLOL

The only reason she gets any ink from "the right" is because the of all the ink the left uses fawning over her every move and utterance. As Stick points out, it's not "the right" who is putting her freaking shoes on display as though she had ever done anything of significance.

Quit making out like she's some sort of political powerhouse and the "right" won't need to keep lampooning her stupidity.

I'm pretty sure Palin understood how the three branches of government work, their enumerated powers, etc.

Yup. The difference between Palinís gaffes and OCís is that Sarahís statements had to be changed more often than not while OCDís donít need to be lied about.

For example, Sarah Palin said that Russia is visible from Alaska (not her home), which on a clear day is entirely true. And it demonstrated her point that sheís been living in the only US state that is essentially Russiaís neighbor, and thus subject to Russian testing and probing all the time.

OCD on the other hand says that we should pay a living wage, have universal government healthcare, have free college, etc, but has absolutely zero clue on how to pay for it all.

(And the only ďdefense?LB had regarding this comparison is that theyíre not in the same job... nothing about the actual content.)

You know what hard work is Ocasio, then try on my shoes, well really boots and work for 30 years in the cowshed.

Ocasio, you want to know what hard work is, try on army boots and go to Afghanistan, that is where you will find not only hard work but dangerous work.

Ocasio, you want to know what is hard work, try on the cleaning lady's shoes at the shopping center.

Ocasio, being a member of the house is not hard work and your parents are rich and I am sure you did some work, but I am also sure you didn't bust your ass, like the average person does and has a tough time making ends meet to feed a family and to house a family.

Besides all that, to prove you can be stupid and still be a congresswoman or man.

What is worse, is that people voted for you and follow you, G-d save America

By the amount of ink she is getting from the right, you'd think she had.

But she did run, and win a seat at the table, to have a say in the laws that concern every American, even you.
I never heard Palin make any big gaffes, and half the ones they said she made she never said. I.E. Tina Fey played dress up to look like Palin, and claimed
she could see Russia from her house. Fey said it, not Palin.
And Palin is a good conservative. Cortez wants to invite communism into our country. Now, the hard part will be for us little people. I.E. - you. Cortez wants to sit at the big kids' table and call the shots, receive the regular paycheck, etc.
She wants higher taxes to pay for her dream of single payer health care. She wants to give everyone a job, but yet doesn't support capitalists, the ones who would be giving out those jobs. Even the ones that gave her a job as a bar tender, or whatever she was.
You may agree with all this, LB. If so, that puts you in the same corner as Cortez, a danger to our country. A danger to our freedoms. A danger to our way of life that was working itself out pretty well until ones like Cortez, and you, if you agree with her, voted the made-for-prime-time candidate Obama.
And y'all watch - they are making O'Rourke by the same mold they made Obama. Cortez doesn't have what it takes to be made into what they want, to give them what they want. She'll get chewed up and spit out as soon as Nancy tires of her.

Typical of you. :happydance:

Take something said or done by your lefty party and then spin it around to blame the right for it?

There is hardly any right "ink" because most of the print media is pure proggy left owned and operated.
